A program in Arizona called Childhelp founded in 1959 directly addresses ways to prevent child abuse and treatment options for those involved in child abuse. Additional resources that have added to the program’s success over the years is that there is a National Child Abuse Hotline available twenty four hours a day. In addition, the program does an excellent job at providing prevention strategies for three groups; educators, athletes, and the community. Not only does this organization have various categories for prevention, it also has several programs for intervention and for treatment. Their prevention motto is Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe which summarized the organization’s main focus; to speak up if child abuse is suspected and to seek help if child abuse has occurred or appears to be on the verge of appearing.
