Pedestrians are at risk when it comes to road traffic injuries and the second leading cause of injury related death in children. (5. Van Oss, T. et al) This research was being used to determine how education would be beneficial for children. The program is called Walk This Way through Safe Kid USA (5. Van Oss, T. et al). A project was created called PHOTOVOICE where they have children look at visuals, engaged in community activities that will help identify hazards to road traffic injuries (5. Van Oss, T. et al). The study wants to determine that by using these techniques, children will be more able to identify possible solutions that can safe their lives. The outcome for this type of strategy showed that the children were able to identify hazards easily and is more aware of what needs to be done during road safety (5. Van Oss, T. et al).
